NFL bound Texas Longhorn

Hello Everyone! This is Chris Ogbonnaya, former running back of the University of Texas Longhorns (jersey #3). I'd like to first start off by thanking Coach Mack Brown, and all the Texas Longhorns football staff, for guiding my Longhorn class into UT football record books as the winningest class in Longhorn football history. I had such a great time and experience at UT. My teammates were unbelievable, and I'll never forget any of them because of their unique characteristics, and bonds that we shared. Longhorn fans, you guys are second to none in college football, and rival any sporting franchise fan base in the world.

This year has been such a blessing. Being able to contribute to our 12 wins this season was such an honor, and I will remember every moment for the rest of my life. It has also afforded me an opportunity at a life long dream: to play in the NFL. I have been invited to the Texas v. Nation all-star game, and Indianapolis for the combine. I am so excited at the opportunity to be able to compete with several great players all-around college football.

Since leaving UT, I made my agent selection, and commenced my combine training preparation in Carlsbad, California (San Diego). I am training with Pro Prep at the Velocity Performance Center, with trainer Doug Hix. It's good to see great collegiate athletes from all over the country, working towards a common goal, albeit individually. Some of these athletes include Javon Ringer, Ian Johnson, Hunter Cantwell, and Tredale Tolver. All of the guys down here are hard working, and down to earth. Although I wake up everyday very soar, I look forward to challenging myself and pushing the limits of my mind, body, and soul.

My UT fans will remember the show I hosted, "Kickin it with the Horns" with my Longhorn brethren Brian Orakpo, that aired weekly on "http://www.mackbrown-texasfootball.com." This is the start of my personal blog I will write twice a week during the season. Since this draft process is long eventful, I will be writing a weekly blog during this time as well to share with you all this wonderful and exciting, time in my life. I would like to take this opportunity to thank God, and my family for all their love, support, and guidance. And lastly, I would like to thank all you fans. Without you, none of this would be possible, and I will always remember that. Hook 'Em Horns!

Chris Ogbonnaya
